    Utah Valley University is seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the Department of Accounting using effective pedagogies. Instruction may include in-class, online, and hybrid methods of delivery. Willingly accepts assignments and serves on department, school, and university committees. Supports the department goals and works collaboratively with colleagues in the department, school, and university. Creates and maintains a successful research pipeline with impactful peer-reviewed publications in academic, pedagogical, and/or practitioner research outlets.

    Graduation from an AACSB accredited institution with a doctoral-level degree in accounting or closely-related area.

    [b]Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:[/b]

    [*] Extensive knowledge of subject matter and course content, instructional strategies, and techniques.
    [*] Extensive knowledge of student management, motivation, and evaluation.
    [*] Extensive knowledge of classroom evaluations, curriculum development, and program development and evaluation.
    [*] Effective human relations skills and communication techniques.
    [*] Skills in public speaking and report writing.
    [*] Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
    [*] Ability to use online learning tools and mechanisms.
    [*] Ability to develop, coordinate, manage and foster teamwork among diverse education and training programs.
    [*] Ability to interact personally with students and other faculty members in a congenial and productive manner.
    [*] Ability to evaluate students performance effectively. [/list]

    [b]Preferred Qualifications:[/b]

    [*] Current accounting-related certifications
    [*] Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience in managerial accounting and/or taxation. [/list]

    [*] Physically be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time while teaching. [/list]
