    The Executive Director of the Career Development Office (CDO) is responsible for overseeing the career development and placement process for the students of the MBA programs and alumni of the Jones Graduate School of Business (JGSB). The executive director is responsible for two main work streams: employer relations and counseling and professional development. The executive director develops and overseeing an advising system that provides effective counseling and career preparation for MBA students. The executive director is responsible for increasing the visibility and reputation of the JGSB among prospective employers, locally and nationally, to attract the best available jobs to student and alumni stakeholders. The executive director is responsible for developing and overseeing a concierge/facilitated network model to increase effectiveness of support for students and alumni gaining employment outside of traditional on-campus recruiting.

    Education Required: Master's Degree (MBA or closely related professional degree)
    Experience Required: 5 years of
    -Strong corporate experience and strong corporate network
    -Prior team management or supervisory experience
    -Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
    -Demonstrated ability to lead, plan and manage at both strategic and operating level
    - Effective public speaking skills and executive presence

    Job Duties:
    - Advise the Dean’s office, faculty, and staff on career management related university policies and procedures.
    - Resolve ad hoc Career Development Center issues.
    - Work collaboratively with multiple stakeholder groups in support of admissions and other programmatic activities: other JGSM departments, faculty, alumni, students, and other university departments (financial aid, office of international students, registrar, etc.).
    - Oversee and direct career counseling, professional development and placement assistance services.
    - Develop and manage career planning and placement services to help students and alumni engage in self-assessment, obtain occupational information, explore a range of employment opportunities, present themselves effectively as candidates and obtain optimal placement in employment.
    - Work collaboratively with the associate dean of degree programs to develop CDO strategies, initiatives and plans. Lead and direct the implementation of CDO strategies, plans and initiatives.
    - Lead and direct CDO relationships with employers. Develop strong relationships with corporations and non-profit organizations hiring MBAs with the intent of attracting them to conduct on-campus recruiting at the JGSB. Lead concierge/ facilitated networking initiatives. Travel nationally and internationally as needed to build relationships and attract on-campus recruiters. Develop a database of diverse representatives and companies throughout the U.S. through meetings and correspondence.
    - Direct the creation of professional development content for fully-employed (EMBA and MBAP) students and alumni. Identify and cultivate source new employment opportunities for fully-employed (EMBA and MBAP) students and alumni.
