    The Business Department at Linfield College located in McMinnville, Oregon invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Accounting to begin in the spring or fall semester of 2018. Relevant master's degree, MBA, MS accounting and CPA or a Doctorate in accounting or a closely related field, with CPA required for tenure review. Review of applications will begin immediately and close on October 16, 2017.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Teach entry-level and upper-level accounting courses, and other courses as
    determined by department chair.
    • Build a record of scholarly professional achievement beyond teaching and service
    commitments.
    • Fulfill service responsibilities including department and college service and student
    advising.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Relevant master’s degree (e.g. MBA, M.S. accounting) and CPA
    OR
    Doctorate in accounting or a closely related field, with CPA required for tenure review
    • Evidence of excellence in teaching (undergraduate teaching experience highly
    desirable)
    • Demonstrated potential for success in scholarly professional achievement and
    department/college service.
    • Ability to work effectively with colleagues and students in a small college setting.
    • Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Previous business experience
    • Federal and state income tax experience
    • Cost accounting experience
    • Experience mentoring undergraduate students, including first generation students.
