The Centre for Work, Organisation and Wellbeing is an interdisciplinary research group of scholars interested in the field of work. Using rigorous, theoretically informed empirical research, our members continue to bridge the gap between research, practice and policy at local, national and international levels to effect positive change in response to the demands of a constantly changing business environment.
We are currently looking for a Research Fellow to pursue a program of independent research that will lead to publications and grant applications. The Fellow will also support the broader aims of the Centre by assisting the Director with initiatives to improve industry engagement and research funding, including supporting the development of grant proposals from concept to submission.
This is a fixed term (18 months), part time (80%) position based at Nathan campus. For the right candidate alternate part time arrangements will be considered.
To be successful within this role, you will hold a PhD or equivalent qualifications/work experience in a relevant field as well as demonstrated experience in a specified area of research which aligns with one of the Centre’s areas of expertise, and a developing publication record. You will have highly developed interpersonal, communication and organisation skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office, electronic literature searches and statistical software such as SPSS, Nvivo. Prior knowledge and experience in writing industry-related grants and obtaining competitive research funding will be highly regarded.
Research Fellow, Grade 1: $70,744 – $83,217 (pro rata) per annum.
