Position Description:
The School of Engineering and Digital Sciences at Nazarbayev University seeks a dedicated Instructor for the Master of Engineering Management (MEM) with a focus on Industrial and Systems Engineering. The successful candidate will primarily teach graduate in Systems Engineering and Industrial Engineering at the MEM.
The standard teaching load for instructors is four course sections per semester. A reduction in teaching load may be possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction in Systems Engineering and Industrial Engineering courses at the graduate level.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of course content and materials in collaboration with faculty colleagues.
- Engage in mentoring and advising graduate students, fostering a supportive academic environment that encourages innovation and critical thinking.
- Contribute to the MEM Program and University through service on committees and participation in academic community events.
Qualifications:
- Applicants should preferably hold a Ph.D., minimally an MSc degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Engineering Management or a related field by the start date.
- Demonstrated potential for teaching excellence at the graduate level.
- Strong commitment to contributing to team-taught courses in Systems Engineering and Industrial Engineering.
- Ability to engage and inspire students in a highly interactive and collaborative educational setting.
- Excellent communication skills in English, the language of instruction.
