One Post-doctoral Researcher (fixed term - one year)
We are seeking a post-doctoral researcher for one year (100%) to join our research project on future landmark buildings (FUTULAND). This groundbreaking interdisciplinary research project is set to redefine our understanding of landmark buildings and their evolving significance. By pioneering a novel theoretical framework and advancing innovative research methods, the project aims to profoundly influence the development of future landmarks. Our empirical research focuses on corporate headquarters and museums. One of our current case studies is the upcoming Museum of Architecture and Design in Helsinki, which aims to “redesign the world” and is scheduled to open in 2030. Our expectations
The post-doctoral researcher will play a pivotal role in revising the new proposal for the upcoming application rounds and initiating data collection efforts. They will work closely with the project team to design suitable research methods and manage other initial stages of data collection.

We seek scholars who have completed their doctoral studies in a relevant field (e.g. management studies, international business, social sciences, architecture, design). The ideal candidate will possess strong qualitative research skills, a broad understanding of sustainability issues, and a keen interest in architecture and design. Applicants should demonstrate the ability to conduct independent research and publish in high-quality scholarly journals. Fluent English is required, while fluency in Finnish is a merit.

The post-doctoral researcher is required to be in residence for the duration of the appointment. The starting date of the employment relationship can be negotiated, ideally commencing October 1st 2025 or shortly after.

What we offer
This post-doctoral researcher position is a fixed-term position for one year. The expected salary is approximately 4500 €/month (income before deduction of taxes), depending on experience and qualifications.
