Assistant or Associate Professor – Business Analytics

The Rader School of Business (RSOB) at Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. RSOB has launched a Business Analytics specialization within its MBA degree. This position will be responsible for the initial creation and delivery of the business analytics courses in the MBA. The position will have some teaching responsibilities in the undergraduate program.

The successful applicant will join a very energetic faculty who are dedicated to our students and staying abreast of best practices in all disciplines. RSOB features small class sizes and several delivery formats.

Specific Duties and responsibilities:
Teach undergraduate courses in the Data Analytics emphasis and/or graduate courses in Business Analytics emphasis.
Contribute expertise to course and curriculum development efforts within the department and in interdisciplinary efforts.
Engage in professional development activities to enhance teaching effectiveness and maintain currency in the discipline.
Conduct scholarly activities consistent with professonal interests and teaching responsibilities, and as described in the MSOE Faculty Handbook.
Provide substantive input to the department and university through representation and meaningful participation in committees, quality initiatives, assessment activities, and accreditation reviews.

Education Requirements:
Must hold a Ph.D in Business Administration with an emphasis in quantitative management, operations research, statistics, business analytics, information systems/technology, industrial engineering, or a closely related field in which 18 graduate credits in statistics, analytics, or operations research have been earned.

Skills and Physical Requirements:
Required:
Experience in use of statistical and data analysis tools, such as SAS, JMP, SPSS, BootstrapUI, R, and related platforms.
3 to 5 years of revelvant industry experince.
Proficiency using a wide variety of personal productivity tools, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, etc.
Familiarity with project-based, problem-based, and active learning pedagogical approaches.

Preferred:
Experience developing and delivering courses using Blackboard Learn LMS.
Prior online course delivery and/or online course development.
