Position Summary
The School of Management is recruiting a Full Professor for the Lichtenberger Chair of Entrepreneurship to start Fall 2018. The Lichtenberger Chair will be expected to bring intellectual leadership to the Strategy group within the Department of Operations Management & Strategy, and maintain an active program of high impact research and teaching in Entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship is a strategic priority for the School, University, and the region as evidenced by a range of entrepreneurship courses, programs, centers, offices, and activities that make up a robust and growing entrepreneurial ecosystem. These include: The Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership (CEL), Henry A. Panasci Jr. Technology Entrepreneurship Competition, UB Blackstone LaunchPad, Entrepreneurship Lab (eLab) and the Entrepreneurship Academy. The School of Management collaborates with several schools and centers at UB to explore new partnerships and programs in entrepreneurship and is actively involved in many areas within the regional entrepreneurial ecosystem. The Lichtenberger Chair of Entrepreneurship will provide important leadership for the School of Management’s entrepreneurship scholarship, educational programs, and university and community engagement, helping to build and expand these various parts of the growing entrepreneurial ecosystem at UB and in the community.

Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must have a record of scholarship consistent with the rank of Full Professor at a leading research university. This includes a significant portfolio of publications in top-tier journals in Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management. Candidates must have a successful record as an effective teacher at both graduate and undergraduate levels. A strong interest and ability to work with key entrepreneurship stakeholders in the School of Management, across the University and in the external entrepreneurship community is also a key expectation.
