The Sports Studies Program at Bishop’s University (Sherbrooke, Québec) invites applications for a tenure-stream position at the rank of Assistant Professor, starting July 1, 2018 (pending budgetary approval).

The Sports Studies Program seeks an energetic and forward-thinking individual to provide leadership to develop our Business and Society concentration and to help the program achieve its long-term growth objective. Applicants must have a demonstrated expertise in sport management and/or recreation planning and a completed Ph.D. in a relevant discipline. The successful candidate will also have demonstrated expertise to deliver undergraduate courses in sporting event organization, sport centre management, recreation planning, and will be expected to contribute to the creation of new courses in his/her area of expertise. The successful candidate will also possess a research profile including peer reviewed publication(s) and the capacity to attract external funding. Bilingualism (English/French) will be an asset.
