The Lewis Honors College at the University of Kentucky is pleased to invite applications for a full-time, nine-month, non-tenure track, Endowed Lecturer in Entrepreneurship position, beginning in Fall 2018. The contract is for two years and renewable. The specific academic home for the position will be in the Lewis Honors College, but the successful candidate will be expected to cultivate a mutually beneficial academic relationship with a department in the Gatton College of Business and Economics that aligns with their qualifications and interests, such as the Department of Management, Economics, or Finance and Quantitative Methods.
The ideal candidate would have prior teaching experience, significant managerial and/or entrepreneurial experience, and educational credentials such as an MBA, Juris Doctorate, or PhD in Management, Economics, Finance, or related fields. The primary job responsibility will be teaching classes to undergraduate honors students focused on entrepreneurship. Other duties may include working with students in the Von Allmen Center for Entrepreneurship, coaching student teams participating in pitch competitions, developing internship and job placement opportunities, as well as working with the staff in the Von Allmen Center to develop closer relationships with angle investing groups in Lexington, Louisville and Cincinnati.
The lecturer position may include responsibilities for special programs on an as-needed basis. Typically, the distribution of effort will be 75% teaching, 18% program administration, 5% research/scholarship, and 2% Professional Development.
