All open faculty positions are ten-month, full-time, tenure-track assignments at the rank of Assistant Professor, effective September 1, 2018, unless otherwise indicated. Teaching assignments and related responsibilities may include day, evening, weekend and online courses. Courses are taught at the Union campus but some positions may include assignments at Kean Ocean in Toms River, New Jersey or other locations.

All faculty are expected to demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence and an on-going program of research and publication or creative and performance activity. Participation in curriculum development, student advisement and service at the departmental/school, college and university level is also required. Interest or experience in using advanced instructional technologies to improve the teaching/learning process is highly desirable. All positions are subject to availability of funds, due to financial exigencies.
College of Business and Public Management

School of Criminal Justice and Public Administration
Health Care Administration – to teach Health Care Administration courses including, but not limited to: Health Services Administration; Strategic Planning; Health Services Law/Policy; Marketing; and Financial Management. The Health Services Administration concentration position requires practical, hands-on experience as a Health Care Administrator/Manager. Applications from candidates with particularly strong credentials in public management, public policy, organizational theory, research methods and other specialties relevant to the general Master of Public Administration (MPA) are encouraged to apply. Specific responsibilities include teaching courses, conducting research, advising students and providing general support to our Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs and Administration (NASPAA) accredited department of Public Administration.

Qualifications: Doctorate in Public Administration with experience in Health Care Administration is required. ABD considered with completion date by September 1, 2018. A record of, or demonstrated potential for, teaching, research and publication is also required.

Public Administration – to teach general areas of study in Public Administration. Areas of expertise or specialties of particular interest include Public Management, Public Budgeting and Finance or research methods. Candidates with particularly strong credentials in other specialties relevant to Master of Public Administration (MPA) students and government practitioners will be considered and are encouraged to apply. Specific responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate students (including courses at the Kean Ocean campus), conducting research, advising students and providing general support to our Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs and Administration (NASPAA) accredited department of Public Administration.

Qualifications: Doctorate in Public Administration or Management, Public Policy or a related field is required. ABD considered with completion date by September 1, 2018. A record of, or demonstrated potential for, teaching, research and publication is required.
