The International University of Rabat (UIR) is the first university to have been set up as part of a partnership between the Moroccan State and the private sector in the field of higher education. This partnership allows UIR to work towards the attainment of its objectives: excellence in education, research and active participation in the socio-economic development of the region and the Kingdom, at large. The university has received many research grants and contracts from national and international organizations such as the Moroccan CNRST, US-AID, IBM, US Army, ICARDA, and VLIR-UOS. The majority of the university’s faculty body has experience working in international institutions e.g. in Canada, France, Finland, the UK and the US. In 2012 and 2013, the university filed the largest number of patents in the country. In 2014, the university received the national innovation award from the Moroccan prime minister.
The Faculty of Computer Science and Logistics invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Logistics and supply chain management at the assistant, associate and full professor level. Candidates must have a doctorate in Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Industrial & Systems Engineering, Transportation & Operations Research, or a closely related field. Evidence of excellence in research and teaching is required. The position involves teaching in French and/or English; hence proficiency in one of these languages is expected.
Salaries are competitive and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The successful applicant will contribute to both undergraduate and graduate teaching across the Faculty of Computer Science and Logistics. The applicant will teach courses in Logistics such as Introduction to Logistics, Logistics Systems, Quantitative Techniques, Production Management, Decision Science, Global Supply Chain Management, Logistics Service Providers, Air Transportation, Maritime Transportation, Rail Transportation, Logistics Partnership and Strategic Management, and Distribution Management.
The successful candidate is expected to develop an independent and innovative research program aligned with the areas indicated above.
