The United Arab Emirates University is seeking to appoint an experienced and internationally recognized academic leader as Dean of the College of Business and Economics. The appointee should assume a leading role in the development of the College to become one of the well-known research colleges worldwide and support the university efforts to meet its ambitious educational and research mission. Successful candidates must show evidence of excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proven record of accomplishment in a leadership role at a reputable research university, and significant experience with AACSB accreditation.
Established in 1976, and located in the oasis city of Al-Ain, UAE University is one of the leading and comprehensive universities in the region, with significant research outputs and a strong community engagement mission. In 2012, it was ranked in the world’s top 50 universities under 50 years old.
The College of Business and Economics (http://www.cbe.uaeu.ac.ae/en/) is the first AACSB accredited college of business in the Middle East, with five academic departments; Accounting, Business Administration, Economics and Finance, and Statistics. The college offers six bachelors, two masters, and one doctoral degree, and it has an undergraduate enrollment of 2,500, a graduate enrollment of 200, and 70 highly qualified faculty members drawn from all over the world.
