The Waikato Management School offers highly regarded degrees at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels and is one of eight Faculties at the University of Waikato. We offer accounting within the Bachelor of Business, the Bachelor of Management Studies (Honours) and Masters degrees. You will be required to teach both undergraduate and postgraduate level papers in accounting, undertake research, supervise research students, participate in professional and industry engagement and contribute to the academic leadership of the School and University.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of publishing consistently in highly rated accounting journals. You will have a track record of obtaining and attracting research funding (from private and/or public funding bodies) and be able to demonstrate the impact of your research on the profession as well as the wider academic community. We also expect successful candidates to demonstrate excellence in the delivery of high quality teaching and programme development at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. You will be experienced in supervising post-graduate (Masters and Doctorate) research students and mentoring academic staff. The ability to communicate effectively with students, staff and the profession is essential. Relevant industry experience is advantageous.
The level of appointment will be dependent on qualifications, skills and experience.
