Auburn University (www.auburn.edu) invites nominations and applications for the position of Dean and Wells Fargo Professor, Raymond J. Harbert College of Business. The Dean serves as the chief academic and administrative officer for the College and provides vision and leadership that enhances the College’s tradition of excellence in teaching, research, service, outreach and diversity. The Dean reports directly to the Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs.

Auburn University is one of the nation’s premier public land-grant institutions and in 2018, it was ranked 46th among public universities by U.S. News & World Report. The Raymond J. Harbert College of Business http://harbert.auburn.edu/ consists of five academic units – School of Accountancy, Department of Systems & Technology, Department of Finance, Department of Management and Department of Marketing. Offering eleven undergraduate degree programs and six graduate degrees: Master of Business Administration (on campus, distance, and executive), Master of Science in Finance, Master of Science in Information Systems, Master of Accountancy (on campus and distance) and Physicians Executive Masters in Business Administration and Masters of Real Estate Development for Executives. In addition, the College offers PhD programs in Finance, Information Systems, and Management. The College also houses six centers including Auburn Technical Assistance Center (ATAC), Center for Ethical Organizational Cultures, Center for Supply Chain Innovation, Lowder Center for Family Business and Entrepreneurship, Geospatial Research and Application Center (GRAC), and RFID Lab at Auburn University.

Both the College and the School of Accountancy are accredited by AACSB International. The College’s undergraduate programs rank 64th among public universities (U. S. New and World Report), its MBA program ranks 27th among public universities (Forbes), and its Executive MBA program ranks 10th. The successful candidate will possess a demonstrated capacity to lead a growing organization, to build consensus among various stakeholders, to foster increased research and scholarship, to promote student advancement, to enhance external corporate and alumni relations, assertively fundraise and effectively represent the College to outside constituencies. Candidates must possess an earned Doctorate, or commensurate credential, and academic and/or professional accomplishments that are sufficient to merit appointment with tenure at the rank of Professor. Experience in administration, fiscal management, faculty/staff development and fundraising is highly desired. The candidate selected for this position must be able to meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment.
