Job To Refer:	Research Assistant College of Business and Economics Qatar University Research Assistant Job Position Announcement (2 Positions) College of Business and Economics, Qatar University, invites applications for two Research Assistant (RA) position. Initial contract is for one year, however, depending on the funds’ availability and performance of the RAs, the position is renewable for an another year. Position Requirements: This position requires the candidate to perform research for the research projects funded by Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF). An ideal candidate would be a doctoral student and would be willing to conduct the proposed research funded by QNRF. The funded research conducted may be claimed towards RA’s doctoral degree as the PhD thesis/dissertation (subject to the approval from RA’s institution approval). The position also requires for an RA to relocate to Doha, Qatar. i. Candidate must hold a graduate (Master) degree in quantitative disciplines, e.g., operations research, management sciences, mathematics from a reputable university. ii. Candidate must have strong background in computation, optimization, algorithms’ development, and testing iii. Candidate must be able to develop computers codes for optimization algorithms using C/C++, MATLAB, etc. iv. Knowledge of multivariate statistical analyses and ability to use statistical packages, SAS, SPSS is also desired Compensation and offerings: The salary package may include: i. FREE Furnished accommodation from the date of the arrival (utilities are at the employee’s expense). ii. Annual economy air ticket allowance to the home country as per quotation from Qatar Airways for the RA only. iii. Annual paid vacation for 35 calendar days. Permission for vacation will be given in accordance with work needs in the research project. Research Assistance and his/her family shall benefit from national health care as may be available in the State of Qatar. iv. TAX FREE Monthly salary range from QR 6,000 to QR 9,000 that incorporates: (1 USD= 3.645 QR) a. Basic monthly salary from QR 5,500 to QR 8,500 (B.Sc. holder or M.Sc. holder) b. Transportation allowance QR 500
