The David F. Rankin College of Business at Southern Arkansas University invites applications for a tenure-track position for an Assistant or Associate Professor of Accounting. Rankin College of Business is AACSB-accredited, offering conventional business degrees at the undergraduate level and an MBA degree. Southern Arkansas University is the fastest growing university in Arkansas and is located in Magnolia, Arkansas.
Duties: teach undergraduate and graduate accounting courses, in-person and online as needed; produce scholarly research leading to publications in refereed journals sufficient to maintain status as Scholarly Academic according to AACSB accreditation standards; advise students; engage in professional activities; serve on various committees at the college and university level; display excellence in teaching, intellectual contributions, advising and service to the college, university and community and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: earned doctorate in accounting from AACSB-accredited University is preferred; ABD nearing completion may be considered; earned doctorate in a related business discipline with graduate hours in accounting combined with professional experience in the Accounting field (CPA preferred) will be considered; demonstration of relevant teaching experience at the university level and/or the ability to make scholarly contributions through refereed journal publications and other intellectual contributions; demonstration of excellence in oral and written communication skills.
