Job Description
The School of Business at Stevens Institute of Technology invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to begin September 2023, subject to final budget approval. Selected candidates will be expected to maintain continued scholarly activity including research publications in high-quality accounting journals, to teach accounting courses within our graduate and undergraduate business programs, and to contribute service to the school and the university. Preference will be given to those with the ability and interest in teaching Auditing, in addition to Financial Accounting, but all disciplines will be considered.
The successful candidate will show promise of significant research and teaching contributions within an interdisciplinary community of scholars. Candidates for an Assistant Professor position must hold or be near completion of an earned doctorate in accounting (or in business administration with a major in accounting), demonstrate an ability to publish high quality research, and show promise for effective teaching and interactions with students. Candidates for an Associate Professor position must hold a doctorate in accounting and have an established record of high-quality teaching and research, including publications in major accounting journals. Professional certification in accounting (e.g., CPA, CMA, or CIA) is desirable.
