The School of Management is recruiting a Full Professor for the Friedson Chair of Marketing to start Fall 2018. The Friedson Chair will be expected to bring intellectual leadership to the Marketing Department, and maintain an active program of high impact research and teaching in Marketing.
The School of Management’s marketing department is building a strong group of faculty which produces research of the highest quality and impact at the top academic journals in the discipline in addition to having real world impact on firms and consumers. Several leading research rankings (e.g., UT-Dallas Business School Research Rankings) rate our faculty as among the most productive, nationwide, in the creation of high-quality real-world research (in spite of our relatively small faculty size).
It is important that the successful candidate for the Friedson Chair desire to provide academic leadership in the form of mentoring and development of junior faculty, PhD development and training, as well as be highly collaborative and collegial and have interests in contributing to a department and school that is actively building strong ties with the business community and conducting impactful research and teaching.

Interested candidates must have a PhD in marketing or a closely related field. Candidates must have a record of scholarship consistent with the rank of Full Professor at a leading research university. This includes a significant portfolio of publications in top-tier journals in marketing. Candidates must have a successful record as an effective teacher at both graduate and undergraduate levels. A strong interest and ability to work with key stakeholders in the School of Management, across the University and in the external community is also a key expectation.
