The MBA Career Management Group works with Berkeley MBAs and MBA alumni to build meaningful and rewarding careers. The Director of Employer Relations serves a key function by leading a team of relationship managers and a project manager to help connect employers to our students and alumni. We work with employers to set specific recruiting strategies and facilitate networking events, workshops, interviews, job postings and more, to support the hiring process and help companies find talent. The Director also works closely with other departments at Haas, including the Dean's office, Development & Alumni Relations, MBA Program Offices. This role also keeps connected to key stakeholders across campus including the Cal Career Center, CA Alumni Association and Faculty in key roles.

Responsibilities
Designs, develops, and through subordinate staff, implements and evaluates programs and projects that advocate for the campus and highlight or showcase our MBA students, programs and alumni.
Ensures smooth-running operations, including trouble-shooting and resolving public relations and / or other problems/issues through effective negotiation skills.
Supervises employer relations team and volunteers alongside team for alumni programs, events, and reunions, to provide outreach to the external constituencies.
Selects, trains, leads, directs, and motivates staff, taking corrective action as necessary, particularly in areas dealing effectively with external constituencies.
Ensures programs, events and activities effectively advocate for the campus and business school as well as maintains good relations with a broad and diverse alumni and key constituency base, including potentially hostile constituents or antagonistic community groups or other special interest groups.
Administers budget allocations and develops employer relations budget annually.
Supports students career search by working with club leaders, student government representatives to ensure alignment with student interests and target companies/industries.

Salary & Benefits
This is a 100% time (40-hrs a week), monthly paid, exempt position. Annual salary is commensurate with experience up to $117,600.00.
