The Human Resource Management and Employment Relations Group in the UCD School of Business invites applications for two positions as Lecturer / Assistant Professor and/or Associate Professor in Human Resource Management/International Human Resource Management. The Associate Professorship is a permanent position and the Lecture / Assistant Professorship is a temporary five-year appointment. Applicants are welcome with a background in human resource management, international human resource management or a related discipline.
The successful candidates will have a proven track record and strong international and national profile commensurate with career stage, and will provide leadership in the areas of human resource management and/or international human resource management.
Research: The HRM/ER Group places strong emphasis on research leading to publication in international, peer-reviewed academic journals and in leading debate in the field of human resource management in the academic and public space.
Teaching and Learning: The HRM/ER Group makes a significant contribution to the School’s undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including in particular, the BComm, BComm International, the Bachelor of Business and Law and the MSc (HRM), MBA, MIM and PhD programmes. Experience teaching across these levels, as well as in curriculum design and innovation, is sought for these positions.
Administration: Assume administrative and managerial duties as appropriate to the role.
2013 Lecturer/Assistant Professor (above the bar) Salary Scale: €52,325 to €82,267 per annum
2013 Associate Professor Salary Scale: €67,983 to €94,966 per annum *
Appointment will be made on the appropriate scale, and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
- Note: For appointment on the Associate Professor scale, applicants must first meet UCD’s Benchmarks for a promotion/appointment at this grade.
