The School of Management at the University at Buffalo (State University of New York, SUNY at Buffalo), invites nominations and applications for tenured faculty positions at the rank of Professor (10-month). These tenured faculty positions may also include a secondary appointment (12-month) as the Department Chair in their respective department. Faculty hired into these positions will help shape the School’s research profile, and the direction of future faculty growth in their respective departments.

We seek candidates in the following departments:
  • Management Science and Systems,
  • Operations Management and Strategy,
  • Marketing,
  • Accounting and Law,
  • Finance, and
  • Organization and Human Resources.
Successful candidates will have:
  • An outstanding record of influential scholarship as evidenced by a strong citation record, and be eligible for a tenured appointment at the rank of Professor at an AAU (Association of American Universities).
  • A demonstrated record of success as an academic leader and team builder, developing and enhancing research and educational relationships among faculty, alumni, and its affiliated units;
  • A demonstrated record of success teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels, including online education;
Based on a candidate’s credentials an appointment to an endowed professorship may be available.

The proposed effective date for this faculty position is September 1, 2023.
