The University of Houston at Victoria invites applicants for the position of Dean of the School of Business Administration. The SBA offers 10 undergraduate programs, two MBA programs, and a MS in Economic Development and Entrepreneurship. Undergraduate enrollment is over 1,000 students and graduate enrollments total over 500. UHV is comprised of two campuses, one in Victoria, Texas, and the other in Katy, Texas. Substantial amounts of time will be necessary at both locations. The School of Business Administration is accredited by AACSB International.

Position Summary: The position is a full time, 12-month appointment that will work closely with the Provost and the President. Responsibilities include accreditation, faculty management, budgeting, the coordination of curriculum development, recruiting, and the development of ties with the business communities in western Houston and Victoria. Required Qualifications: The position requires an earned doctorate from an AACSB-accredited university in one of the programs offered by the School, with experience appropriate to the granting of tenure. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Priority will be given to candidates with experience in academic administration as dean, associate dean, or department chair, and familiarity with AACSB-I Standards.

Goliad State Park boasts a replica and historic mission ruins. Victoria’s golf courses include Riverside Golf Course, The Club at Colony Creek and Victoria Country Club. Victoria is only 30 miles from the Gulf of Mexico, and only about 2 hours from Austin, Houston, San Antonio, and Corpus Christi, allowing residents to enjoy a wide variety of cultural activities including world class symphony, museums, theater, ballet, opera, and touring broadway productions as well as major sporting events and a variety of restaurants and shopping. Katy, Texas lies along the Energy Corridor on the western side of Houston, offering easy access to all of the amenities of the country’s fourth-largest city.
