The School of Management at the University at Buffalo (State University of New York, SUNY at Buffalo), invites nominations and applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor (10-month). This position will be expected to help significantly grow and shape the School’s research profile and provide excellent teaching and leadership in areas of financial accounting and accounting analytics.

The successful candidate will have:
  • Applicants must possess, or be near completion of, a Ph.D. in Accounting or a related field by the start of employment.
  • For a recent accounting graduate, evidence of scholarship with the potential to be publishable in top-tier accounting journals.
  • For a seasoned assistant professor, a record of scholarship as evidenced by a strong citation record or recent top-tier publications;
  • Ability to effectively teach courses at undergraduate and/or graduate levels.

For full consideration, applicants should submit a cover letter, curriculum vita, summary of courses taught with teaching evaluation(s), statement of teaching philosophy, and statement of research philosophy by November 30, 2023. The proposed effective date for this faculty position is September 1, 2024.
