Assistant Professor of Computer Information Systems (Tenure-Track)
School of Business Administration, Fort Lewis College Durango, Colorado
Position Summary:
A Tenure Track Assistant Professor of Computer Information Systems is responsible for teaching 24 credits per academic year (3 credits of time may be authorized for research release). This position is within the School of Business Administration and in support of majors, minors and concentrations across the School of Business Administration.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Information Systems, Computer Science or a related technical field
o Candidates who are ABD with promise of degree completion within one academic year will be considered
- Ability and interest in teaching in multiple areas of the CIS program
- Demonstrated teaching excellence
- Demonstrated record of scholarship
Preferred Education, Specialized Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrated ability to develop and teach a range of CIS courses including Network Infrastructure, IT Security and intro CIS
- Professional certifications and/or professional work experience in IT management or systems development
- Ph.D. from an AACSB or ABET accredited institution
- Demonstrated success of working in a diverse environment
- Interest to work in a cross-disciplinary environment
- Online teaching experience
Major Responsibilities:
- Teach 24 credits per academic year (8 courses)
- Conduct research sufficient to maintain AACSB Scholarly Academic status
- Share in the communal service work of the School of Business Administration
- Hold Office hours
- Collaborate with other faculty teaching common courses
- Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities.
- Maintains knowledge and awareness of digital accessibility including the American with Disabilities Act and Section 508.
- Produces and remediates digitally accessible materials in accordance with FLC standard
- Perform other duties as assigned

Compensation:
Salary is $85,000 plus a comprehensive benefits package.
