The
Department of Operations Management and Strategy in the UB School of Management is seeking applicants for the post of Clinical Assistant Professor, with a focus on business strategy instruction specializing in entrepreneurship.
This faculty member is expected to excel in the delivery of graduate, undergraduate education, as well as the assist in matters of course enrichment, program assessment, and community engagement.
Primary duties include:
- Teaching courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels;
- Overseeing and delivering courses in the Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership;
- Engaging with students in professional development activities;
- Engaging in interdisciplinary partnerships including co-teaching and supervision of programs/courses with other schools within the university and community partners;
- Assisting with the management of entrepreneurship communications and websites; and
- Assisting with the management of grants.
The successful candidate will be required to teach a minimum of 6 courses per year to a full spectrum of students ranging from the undergraduate, graduate, full-time professional and executive level.
Previous industry experience founding a venture or leading an early-stage company is strongly preferred. The successful candidate should have direct experience teaching entrepreneurship courses, leading programs with community partners, and managing grants.
Experience in facilitating programs that support both emerging and established entrepreneurs, particularly those focused on women and minorities, and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders to develop innovative initiatives is highly desirable. The ideal candidate should also possess a track record of facilitating collaboration across different focus areas and stakeholder groups.
