Requirements
A relevant Doctorate (NQF Level 10) with at least seven years of lecturing and/or industry experience or an equivalent combination of relevant professional experience. Excellent English communication skills (oral and written). Proven competence in successful sourcing research or project funding from third-party sources. Successful initiation and management of research projects, curriculum development, and strong management/organisational and mentorship skills. Competence to establish and maintain a distinguished, externally funded research programme and contribute to both under- and post-graduate teaching and research in transport, logistics and supply chain management. Ability to exhibit national visibility within the designated discipline through continuing scholarly and/or creative activities. Competence to establish professional networks, and to maintain links with industry, as well as experience in developing postgraduate programmes and maintaining a high level of productivity within the discipline, which includes publishing and contributing to the teaching and service missions of the University, while being active through community engagement. Sound research profile in peer-reviewed journals/books/conference proceedings and successful research supervision Master’s and Doctoral (research) students.
