DESCRIPTION
Otterbein University is accepting applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Business Analytics. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The candidate is expected to excel in the areas of teaching, research and service related to Otterbein's BS degree in Business Analytics. Teaching responsibilities will be primarily in Business Analytics (Data Visualization and Reporting, Database and Network Design, Data and Text Mining, Managing Information Technology) and include an MBA graduate course, Data Analytics, with other classes aligned with earned degrees. Faculty members must be able to teach daytime and evening classes. Faculty members are also expected to be involved in professional and community activities for the purposes of scholarship, professional development, student advising and mentorship, and service.
QUALIFICATIONS
Ph.D. or DBA in a business discipline from an Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accredited university with a master's degree in business analytics or data analytics fields, or a graduate specialization in the analytics field. Teaching experience demonstrated in a college or university is required. Preferred Ph.D. in business disciplines would be in Management Information Systems (MIS) (or similarly Business Analytics, Data Science), Finance, Marketing, Economics or Management related fields. The ideal candidate must possess superior communication, leadership and organizational skills, and an ability to work effectively with students, faculty and staff from diverse communities and cultures. This is a tenure-track position with commensurate expectations for teaching, research, scholarship and service. Candidates without terminal degrees will hold the rank of Instructor, Non-Tenure Track.

DEPARTMENT: The Department of Business, Accounting & Economics is composed of 9 full-time faculty and 10 part-time faculty. Majors offered: a B.S. in Accounting & Public Accounting, Business Administration & Management, Business Analytics, Finance, and Marketing as well as a B.A. in Economics. Minors offered: Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, International Business & Management, Finance, Marketing, Marketing Analytics.
