Bryant University invites applications for Adjunct Instructors its new online Professional MBA (PMBA) program in the fields of Global Business, Business Research Methods and Statistics, Organizational and Strategic Leadership, and Entrepreneurial Leadership.
The PMBA launched in January 2019 with inaugural courses in Economics and Principles of Management. Each course is designed in keeping with Bryant University’s commitment to low student: faculty ratios, dynamic peer and instructor relationships, and the academic rigor which earned the recent re-accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).

PMBA instructors work remotely and under the direction of the Director for Online Learning and the respective Department Chairs for each course. Responsibilities include designing the course with the Director of Online Learning and, when the course is live, moderating textual and video-based discussions, responding to course-related questions, conducting weekly online office hours and occasional Live Sessions and Live Lectures, and grading student assignments and exams in a timely manner with substantive feedback.
All PMBA Adjunct Instructors focus extensively on facilitating student learning associated with prescribed course and program learning outcomes. They provide professional leadership and support and serve as an educator, role model, mentor, and facilitator. In collaboration with the program team, they create an educational environment which fosters innovation, responsiveness, and accountability while upholding a culture of academic integrity.
All applicants must provide a documented background in educational methodology consistent with teaching assignments including but not limited to education theory and practice, current concepts relative to specific subjects he or she will be teaching, current professional experience, and/or distance education techniques and delivery. A successful applicant is an individual who can demonstrate:
● A Masters degree and relevant online teaching experience required. Doctoral degree preferred. Professional certification where appropriate.
● Industry experience required.
● Ability to engage a diverse student population of working professionals in active learning to meet required course and program outcomes.
● Exceptional computer skills using Blackboard, Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications, Adobe, VoiceThread, and Zoom.
● Available to deliver the course using diverse resources; strong verbal and written communication skills.
● Professional Certifications are desirable.
