The J.E. Cairnes School of Business & Economics at NUI Galway is a leader in business research and education nationally. The School offers a broad range of innovative programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Accounting, Business Information Systems, Economics, Management and Marketing and has successfully attained AACSB and AMBA accreditation. The School is synergistically aligned with two main research institutes, the Whitaker Institute for Innovation and Societal Change and the Institute of Lifecourse and Society. The School comprises five Disciplines: Accountancy & Finance, Business Information Systems, Economics, Management, and Marketing.
Applications are encouraged for one 12 month specific purpose Lecturer Above the Bar in Marketing Type A contract at the J.E. Cairnes School of Business & Economics at NUI Galway. The person appointed will normally hold a PhD in Marketing or in an equivalent area.
The persons appointed will have experience of lecturing at third level; relevant research publications in high-ranking, peer-reviewed journals and conferences; and clear contributions related to programme management in a third level environment. They will have knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas: Global Marketing, Marketing Strategy, Marketing Research, and/or Selling and Sales Management.
Duties will include teaching, examining and administration in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, as well as postgraduate research supervision and involvement in the research activities of the Marketing Discipline, School, and College.
The envisaged start date for all posts is the 1st of September 2021.

Salary: € 66,762 to € 86,212.p.a (applicable to new entrants effective from January, 2011)
(This appointment will be made on the Lecturer Above the Bar scale in line with current Government pay policy)
