Position: The Department of Finance in the Harbert College of Business at Auburn University seeks applications for two tenure track positions at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. These nine-month positions are designed to support the Finance degree programs of the College. The effective date of employment will be August 2023.
Responsibilities: Successful applicants are expected to engage in high-quality and impactful research publishable in top-tier finance journals, to achieve teaching excellence at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and to provide appropriate service to the department, college, and university. The teaching load is commensurate with research expectations. In addition, candidates are expected to contribute to the collegial and intellectual environment of the department by working with other faculty members and advising Ph.D. students.
About the Department & Programs:
The Department of Finance is composed of 14 tenure track faculty, 4 full-time lecturers, and 2 full-time positions devoted to the professional development of undergraduate students. The department also routinely hires 6 to 8 adjuncts per semester. With over 900 majors, the Department of Finance is the largest department in the largest college at Auburn University. With a very successful Financial Management Honor Society, our undergraduate program boasts some of the highest starting salaries and some of the most successful placements at Auburn, many in investment banking.
