The Lukenda School of business at Lake Superior State University invites applications for a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor position. This position will begin in August 2020.

The successful candidate will contribute their academic and professional expertise to programs including Cannabis Business, Business Administration and Management. Instructional duties will include coursework in cannabis business, introductory business, with the possibility of other curriculum development in this unique program that prepares students for graduate and professional school and/or the work force. Under the direction of the Dean of the College of Innovation and Solutions, the successful candidate will provide course instruction utilizing multiple teaching formats, including lecture, internship oversight and/or online delivery.

Minimum qualifications include broad experience in the cannabis industry, which includes sufficient business experience through management, entrepreneurship, consultation or research. While a master’s degree is desired, it is not requires if the work experience in the cannabis space is sufficient. The desired qualifications include a master’s degree, DAB, JD, PhD or equivalent in business, management, accounting, business law, economics, finance, or closely related field with the ability to teach across business core disciplines.

Sault Ste. Marie is uniquely situated on Lake Superior in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, where we share the international border with Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. The two cities with a combined population of 100,000 pair the advantages of a larger city with the safety of a smaller town.
