Within the Griffith Business School, The Department of Business Strategy and Innovation (BSI) focuses on a number of areas of strategic relevance, including innovation and entrepreneurship, information management, international and Asian business, strategy, supply chain management, leadership and sustainability.

With more than 35 staff, the Department has a strong and active research focus with a long history of success in securing external research and of successful PhD completions.

The opportunity
We are seeking a Professor who, reporting to the Head of Department of BSI, will play a critical leadership role as Deputy Head of Department.. The role will support the Head in discharging their responsibilities for the performance of the Department in learning and teaching, research and external engagement; and for planning and aligning financial and staff resources with the University’s and School’s strategic objectives. The role will have a particular focus on the research performance of the Department, including oversight of the Doctoral and Honours Programs.

This is a three year, full time, fixed term appointment with an underlying substantive full time, continuing (tenured) Professorial position, primarily based at either the Gold Coast or Nathan campus.

About you
The successful candidate will have an outstanding research profile, demonstrated leadership qualities, have shown significant contribution to one or more of the areas of strategic relevance of the Department, be highly committed to teaching excellence, and will actively and effectively supervise Honours and Postgraduate Research student projects.

Salary range
An attractive salary package will be offered to the successful candidate.
