Candidates must hold a PhD in any one of the business and management and has demonstrated a solid research record of international excellence. The candidates should have experience of successfully supervising doctoral students and a proven track record of excellence in delivering outstanding education. Preference will be given in the area of accounting, finance, corporate governance, fintech, and those who possess substantial industrial experience. Experience in the DBA, EMBA and other executive education is a plus. The candidates are expected to have strong interpersonal and communication skills. They will also be required to develop professional network in the community and make an appropriate contribution to university services.
The selected candidate is expected to assume duty in August 2019 or as soon as possible afterwards.
Remuneration and appointment rank offered will be competitive and commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification, current position and professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% – 7% after various discretionary exemptions. The University of Macau reserves the right not to appoint a candidate. Applicants with less qualification and experience can be offered lower positions under special circumstances.
