Embry-Riddle University is seeking applicants for the 2019-20 Sports Marketing Internship. The 20-sport athletic department just completed it’s first official year in NCAA Division II and the Sunshine State Conference.
Job Description: Sports marketing interns will support all marketing and promotional efforts for intercollegiate athletics. Duties include:
Develop the overall game day experience for home sporting events
Serve as a liaison to student clubs and organizations
Create digital and print media promotions
Recruit members to The Flock (Official Student Spirit Group)
Engage the local community in ERAU Athletic events
Prospect and solicit corporate partnerships
Manage select social media platforms on behalf of ERAU Athletics
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required, intercollegiate athletics experience preferred, with an interest in sports marketing and/or collegiate athletic administration as a career path
Additional Qualifications: Ideal candidates must have a positive attitude and be self-motivated; display strong marketing skills with a willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends; excellent written and oral communication skills; thrive in working in a team environment. Graphic design and desktop publishing experience is highly desired; Microsoft Office programs and Adobe Photoshop preferred.
Compensation: Interns will be compensated at a rate of $1,450 per month to offset their living expenses during this 10-month internship. Total compensation: $14,500. In addition, this internship provides a University meal plan.
Duration: Ten months, August to June
