Operations/Supply Chain Management – to teach a range of undergraduate and graduate courses at the Union and Ocean campuses including, but not limited to: Quantitative Methods; Operations Management; Supply Chain Management; Total Quality Management; Sustainable Global Business & Technology; and Business Process, Innovation & Management. Candidates must have an established record of recent publications in peer reviewed academic journals and a strong agenda for future research and publications; know how to integrate educational technology into teaching; perform outreach to the professional community; engage with public service contributions that promote equity, diversity and inclusion; provide vision and guidance in the area of management education and the profession; and support the University’s AACSB accreditation initiative.
Qualifications: Doctorate degree in Operations/Supply Chain Management or a related field is required, preferably from an AACSB or EQUIS accredited institution. Teaching experience is also required. Relevant practical experience is desired. Recent graduates and ABD candidates with a completion date by September 1, 2021, with a promising research plan and a record of recent publications are also encouraged to apply.
This is a ten-month, full-time, tenure-track assignment at the rank of Assistant Professor, effective for the Fall 2021 semester. Teaching assignments and related responsibilities may include day, evening, weekend and online courses. Courses may be taught at the Union campus, Kean Ocean, Kean Skylands or other locations.
All tenure-track faculty are expected to demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence and an on-going program of research and publication or creative and performance activity. Participation in curriculum development, student advisement and service at the departmental/school, college, university and community level is also required. Interest or experience in using advanced instructional technologies to improve the teaching/learning process is highly desirable. Proficiency in the Learning Management System, Blackboard and Online Learning Pedagogy is required, consistent with University guidelines. Kean may offer free voluntary Blackboard workshops to otherwise qualified applicants.
