Adjunct Instructor (Advertising) - Spring 2020
The Advertising Program in the College of Arts and Sciences, at the University of San Francisco (USF), is seeking to hire an adjunct instructor to teach ADVT202: Fundamental of Creative Development for one term, during the Spring Semester 2020.
Full Job Description:
The course will run one night a week for 15 weeks from 6:30 - 10:30pm on Wednesdays, January 21 through May 7, 2020 with examination period concluding May 14, 2020.
The course requires specific advertising knowledge and will most likely be most suitable to someone who has worked/is working in the Creative Department of an advertising agency and has advanced knowledge of the strategic and creative development process.
The instructor will be required to introduce the roles, processes, frameworks and tools involved in the creative development of an advertising campaign. They will also need to be able to demonstrate how creative ideas are led by a strategy; introduce the processes and tools used in the development of integrated creative advertising campaigns; introduce a framework that students will use to critique creative work; mentor teams of students through the creative process; guide them on the creative pitch process; and be able to assess them and provide constructive feedback.
The scholar should have completed a minimum of a Bachelor's degree with a Master's degree or higher preferred in a relevant field of study and should be able to demonstrate teaching excellence (this can be in either a professional or academic environment).
