As part of the School’s new strategic plan, the School has recently announced a significant investment plan including the addition of 16 new academic positions across the School’s five disciplines. As part of the School’s investment plan, applications are invited for the position of Senior Lecturer in Digital Business and Society at the J.E. Cairnes School of Business and Economics at NUI Galway, within the School’s Business Information Systems (BIS) discipline. We are seeking talented individuals with expertise in one or more of the key areas of Digital Business and Society, in particular: Digital Transformation, IS Value and Success, Business Analytics, Digital Strategy and Innovation, and Societal Consequences of Digital Technology. Supporting the School’s strategic focus on Digitalisation, the new appointee will be expected to develop an outstanding programme of research and teaching in Digital Business and Society.
The Business Information Systems discipline consistently ranks in the top 150 universities in the world in Information Systems, according to the QS World University Rankings by Subject (Computer Science and Information Systems).
The successful candidate will contribute to relevant teaching and assessment at all levels; engage in scholarship and research; and assist with administration and the development of the Business Information Systems Discipline and the School of Business & Economics.
