The Von Allmen School of Accountancy at the University of Kentucky is pleased to invite applications for an open rank tenure eligible position with a flexible start date (January 2024 or later). We invite experienced applicants with qualifications to teach and conduct research in any accounting discipline and research methodology.

Applicants at the Assistant Professor rank must have at least three years of prior academic experience, a demonstrated record of publishing in top-tier accounting journals, and a desire to participate in doctoral education. Applicants for Associate or Full Professor should have a well-established scholarly reputation, and experience advising doctoral students is preferred. All applicants are expected to teach courses in accounting effectively in our undergraduate and graduate programs and contribute to the service needs of the school.

The Von Allmen School of Accountancy offers an outstanding research environment with a core of highly productive research-oriented faculty. We offer a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, a Master of Science in Accounting, and a PhD in Business Administration with an accounting concentration. We have made considerable investments in enhancing these programs over the past several years. Along with the Gatton College, the Von Allmen School was re-accredited by the AACSB in 2022.
