Assistant Professor of Information Systems specializing in Business Analytics
The School of Business Administration at Penn State Harrisburg
is seeking qualified applicants for a tenure-line, Assistant Professor of Information Systems focused on Business Analytics to begin in August 2022. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to innovative teaching, research, and student success.
Specific job responsibilities include teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses in information systems and business analytics in residence and online modalities. The successful candidate will also pursue teaching in areas such as management information systems, data visualization, applied machine learning (e.g., business, healthcare, or educational contexts), inclusive of using cloud-based data analytic and visualization tools.
All faculty are expected to maintain a high level of professional activity through scholarly research and service. Emphasis will be placed on research on the effective use of data analytics to shape business strategy and transform organizations and/or advancing the science of broadening the participation of students in IS education and the IT workforce. Compensation is AACSB competitive.
Candidates must have earned a Ph.D. or DBA in information systems, business analytics, data Sciences, or closely related field by August 13, 2022. A degree from an AACSB accredited school is preferred.
