The Department of Entrepreneurship in the H. Wayne Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship at Nova Southeastern University is seeking applications for a full-time faculty position in Entrepreneurship that is open rank, depending on qualifications and experience. The position responsibilities include teaching graduate (MBA) and undergraduate entrepreneurship classes and serving as the first Academic Director of the new Huizenga Business and Innovation Academy (HBIA). Students selected for the HBIA will complete an accelerated program that allows them to complete both the BS and MBA in four years. HBIA students will participate in two (two weeks and eight weeks) intensive entrepreneurship boot camps and one internship during their first two summers. The boot camps are designed to allow student teams to create new startups and run those startups while at NSU. The first class of outstanding students have been selected for academic year 2019-20.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. or DBA in business or related field. ABD candidates will be considered if the degree will be completed within a year of the start date. We seek candidates who have good communication skills, demonstrated commitment to excellence in both teaching and research, and a desire to work collaboratively with colleagues. Some business experience is preferred.
