Position: The Auburn University Harbert College of Business, Supply Chain Management department seeks applications for a tenure track Assistant/Associate Professor position beginning Fall 2022 (contingent upon budget). This position is intended to provide support for the Harbert College’s growing and highly ranked programs in supply chain management by contributing to the increasing research, teaching, and outreach requirements of the programs.

Responsibilities: Successful applicants will be expected to engage in high-quality research (evidenced by publications in leading academic journals), teach courses in the supply chain program, and contribute to developing the future path for the department’s growing programs. The Supply Chain Management program was ranked as the #7 undergraduate supply chain management program by Gartner in 2020. The faculty consists of an Eminent Scholar and nine additional tenure track faculty, four lecturers, and three staff who support the professional development of supply chain management students. The Center for Supply Chain Innovation is sponsored by over a dozen firms who make a multi-year commitment to support faculty research and the curriculum. The supply chain faculty is known for its high-quality research, exemplary teaching, and significant level of engagement in the supply chain industry. The department also houses the Journal of Business Logistics - a leading journal for empirical SCM scholarship.
