Position: The Department of Business Analytics & Information Systems (BASY) in the Harbert College of Business at Auburn University seeks applications for a nine-month, non-tenure track, non-tenure eligible full-time teaching faculty position as a Lecturer in Information Systems. This is an annual appointment with the renewal contingent upon the availability of funds, the need for services, and satisfactory performance. The effective date of employment will be August 2024.

Responsibilities: The successful candidate's primary responsibility for this position is to teach undergraduate Information Systems courses, mainly but not limited to Introduction to Information Systems and Project Management. The successful candidate will be expected to bring experience, innovation, enthusiasm, and leadership to these courses. The successful candidate is expected to remain current in this field of expertise through professional consulting activities and continuing professional education. In addition to instructional duties, the successful candidate will be expected to serve the university, college, and department.

About the Department & Programs: The Department of Business Analytics & Information Systems comprises 15 tenure track faculty, four full-time lecturers, and one full-time position devoted to the professional development of undergraduate students. The department also routinely hires 6 to 8 adjuncts per semester. The department offers undergraduate degrees in Business Analytics and Information Systems and a Master's and Ph.D. in Information Systems. Our undergraduate programs boast some of the highest starting salaries and most successful placements at Auburn. Our faculty have diverse research interests and publish in top-tier journals, such as Information Systems Research, Journal of Management Information Systems, and European Journal of Information Systems.
