The Von Allmen School of Accountancy at the University of Kentucky seeks to hire a full-time lecturer, non-tenure eligible, for a nine-month appointment. Previous teaching experience and professional accounting experience is desirable but not required. An MA, MS, MBA, or JD is required (a PhD in Accounting (or similar) is desired but not required). The primary job responsibilities include teaching 2-4 courses per semester in accounting and fulfilling the service needs related to various programs in the school. The Director will determine the number of courses and other assigned duties based on the candidate’s experience and areas of expertise. The assignment may be adjusted annually based on needs and performance. The projected start date is August of 2024. The Von Allmen School of Accountancy offers an outstanding scholarly environment and offers excellent support for both research and teaching. We offer a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, a Master of Science in Accounting, and a PhD in Business Administration with an Accounting concentration. We have made considerable investments in enhancing these programs over the past several years. Along with the Gatton College, the Von Allmen School was re-accredited by AACSB in 2022. Salary and teaching load are competitive with leading public universities.
