Overview

The Department of Marketing at the College of Business, Northern Illinois University (NIU) is seeking to create a pool of eligible part-time instructors in the global marketing areas, and to meet its instruction needs from time to time. Earliest start date would be 1/1/2024, and typically will always be at the start of fall or spring semesters. The earliest end date would be 5/15/2024 for the current academic year, and typically will always be at the end of subsequent spring semesters.

Position Summary

The part-time instructors in the digital marketing area teach 3-6 credit hours per academic year.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The part-time instructors in the digital marketing area develop and teach one or two 2-3-credit hour undergraduate and graduate digital marketing classes in the digital marketing domain covering topics such as Principles of Digital Marketing, Digital Marketing Campaign Measurement, Search Engine optimization, Search Engine Marketing, Designing Responsive Websites etc. The classes may run in-person, online or in mixed (hybrid) modes.

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • MBA or any specialized masters, typically MS in Digital Marketing or MS in Data Analytics.



Preferred Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of teaching experience in the respective areas.
