Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities:
The College of Business and Information Science is seeking to fill a tenure-track position at the Assistant or Associate level in the Department of Accounting, Economics and Finance. This position is in the area of Accounting.
Duties include the following:
Teaching a variety of accounting courses
Advising students and student organizations
Conducting research for publications in peer refereed journals and grant generation
Participating in community outreach activities
PhD/DBA in accounting or related field from an AACSB accredited institution. CPA preferred.
Minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in accounting.
All candidates must meet current AACSB. Scholarly Academic and Participating Status requirements.
ABDs must have a dissertation proposal before joining Tuskegee University, have one year to complete the doctorate, and will be appointed as Clinical Faculty.
Upon completion ofthe doctoral degree, faculty will be changed to the rank of Assistant Professor- Tenure Track.
Associate level candidates must have a record of reputable peer refereed journals and success with grant generation.
Experience teaching at the university level is preferred
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Commensurate with education, training and experience.
Faculty will participate in additional activities as stipulated in the Faculty Handbook (ex. convocations, commencements, and all university conference)
Other duties as assigned.
