The OM&IS Department at the College of Business, Northern Illinois University is seeking to fill a tenure-track assistant or associate professor position in the field of Information Systems begin in Fall 2019. We are seeking candidates who are committed to publishing high quality research in top journals that will impact the field, who can interact and work effectively with peers across the department, and be comfortable of teaching data analytics topics at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Major responsibilities include – but are not limited to – providing excellent teaching to undergraduate and/or graduate students (i.e., our faculty currently teach in the MBA, Master of Science in Information Systems and the online Master of Science in Data Analytics programs); productively engaging in scholarly activities (e.g., research publications, presentations, etc.); positively contributing to committee service within the department, college, and university; participating in student mentorship, research, recruitment and retention initiatives; and establishing partnerships with professional organizations within both the Illinois region and nationwide.

Qualifications:

A Ph.D., or DBA, in Information Systems or a closely related field from an AACSB accredited school is required by the time of appointment. Online teaching experience, high quality research, and industry experience in Data Science and Analytics are preferred.

Salary: Commensurate with experience and education.
