Employment Specifics: Full-Time Faculty (167 days) Appointment. 1.0 FTE
The faculty member will be responsible for teaching, advising, and outreach to the communities served by MCC. Instructional content assignment will focus on Accounting, Entrepreneurialism, Financial Math, Career Communications, PC Applications, and related business fields. Faculty member is responsible for using teaching methods and media designed to reach students of varying educational and experiential backgrounds to allow each student the opportunity to master the objectives of the course. The faculty member will also work with part-time faculty throughout the College’s service area to provide mentoring activities and help with the implementation of assessment strategies. Teaching assignments may be comprised of alternative delivery settings which include synchronous, on-line, evening, and weekend offerings.
Master’s Degree in Business or related field from an accredited institution.
Computer expertise in relevant software programs.
Must have or be able to obtain a Colorado Career and Technical Education postsecondary teaching
credential in Business.
Minimum of one (1) year of full-time or two (2) years of part-time teaching experience in Business or
Experience with innovation including online delivery, and an understanding of the current business
environment as it relates to curriculum development.
Strong technological skills and experience in using the MSOffice suite.
Must be willing and able to travel as required by position needs.
Master in Business Administration (MBA) with 18 graduate credits in Accounting from an accredited
Full-time teaching experience in higher education.
Experience with distance education.
Direct personal experience as an entrepreneur owning, managing, or developing businesses.
Demonstrated success in working with students from diverse backgrounds.
Anticipated Start Date: August 14, 2018
Salary: Based on education, skills and experience. Benefits include health, life, dental insurance, LTD & benefit package in accordance with Colorado Community College and Occupational Education System policies. No relocation assistance is provided.
