The Department of Decision Sciences in the College of Business at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Worldwide (ERAU-W) welcomes applications for a 10 month Tenure Track Assistant Professor position.

Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in the disciplines including, Operations Management, Operations Research, Logistics Management, and Supply Chain Management, via traditional classroom delivery, hybrid, online, and/or interactive teleconferenced learning technologies. The faculty member may be asked to serve in a variety of college administrative roles such as course monitor. Other areas of responsibility include participating in scholarly activities and service to the Department of Decision Sciences, College of Business, and University. Must be willing to travel to different ERAU Worldwide campuses to teach and to attend meetings and conferences. The position doesn’t require relocation as the faculty member will operate from his/her home location.


A doctorate from a regionally accredited institution in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, Production, or Engineering Management), Management, Operations Research, or any field related to logistics and supply chain management is required. The candidate should show excellence in teaching and demonstrate a strong research record/potential through publications and/or pipeline that would include working papers or papers under review. Strong candidates will have significant industry experience and have published research in academic journals. Candidate must also have excellent teaching evaluations in the area of supply chain management, operations management, or operations research.

Experience teaching web-based courses, participation in university committees or related community organizations, participation in state/national professional organizations (including, CSCMP, SOLE, APICS, IIE, INFORMS, etc.), significant industry experience, past successful professional experiences with groups from diverse backgrounds. Experience in SAP or other ERP systems is beneficial. Experience in the aviation or aerospace industry is preferred.
