The University of Waikato Joint Institute at Zhejiang University City College, China
The University of Waikato has established a Joint Institute with Zhejiang University City College in Hangzhou, China. Students have the opportunity to graduate with one of three degrees offered there by the University of Waikato.
The position is based in China and contributes to the teaching and administrative requirements of the Bachelor of Business Analysis degree taught at the Joint Institute by our Faculty of Management.
To be successful in the role you will have demonstrated experience teaching to large and small groups of students, in-depth knowledge of Finance, Economics and Chinese culture, experience of teaching across cultures and the ability to work with students for whom English is not their first language. A relevant Masters degree is essential and a PhD would be preferred.
Salary will be in the range of NZ$70,000 to $100,000 per year (paid in Chinese RMB), dependent on qualifications, skills and experience.
Annual travel to New Zealand, visa and insurance expenses and accommodation in China are provided.
The appointment will start in August 2018 to include onboarding and programme preparation at the University of Waikato in Hamilton, New Zealand before teaching at the Joint Institute starts in September 2018.
